Refund policy
We want bentops to truly suit you. That is why we offer a hassle-free refund guarantee. This page describes our policy and your rights.
1. Satisfaction or refund (our commitment)
If bentops does not suit you, write to us within 14 days of your purchase at admin@bentops.com and we will refund you in full, even if you have already downloaded and installed the software. No complicated justification is required.
This commitment is a commercial policy that we offer voluntarily. It comes in addition to the rights the law grants you, described below.
2. How to request a refund
Write to admin@bentops.com indicating:
- the email used at the time of purchase;
- your transaction or receipt number;
- in a few words, the reason (optional, but it helps us improve bentops).
The refund is made to the original payment method, within the timeframe set out in section 4.
3. Your cancellation rights under the law
Regardless of our commitment above, the Quebec Consumer Protection Act grants you, for an online purchase, cancellation rights that we cannot exclude. You may in particular cancel the sale:
- within 7 days of receiving the copy of the contract, if mandatory information was missing or if the copy was not compliant;
- up to 30 days, if the copy of the contract was not provided to you within the required timeframe;
- if the product was not delivered to you within 30 days of the agreed date.
4. Refund terms and timeframes
When a refund is due, it is full (price and taxes) and paid within 15 days of your cancellation request. A refund does not take the form of an imposed credit note.
5. Chargeback
If a refund owed to you was not paid within the 15-day timeframe, the law allows you to request a chargeback from your credit card issuer. This request must be made within the timeframe provided by law (in the order of 60 days).
6. Legal warranty
Beyond any refund, the legal warranty applies: a good must be able to serve the use for which it is normally intended and to last a reasonable amount of time. If bentops had a defect covered by this warranty, contact us and we will see to the repair, replacement or refund, as the case may be.
